On Friday, 7th September, 2018, Alex arrived at Penzance Station. As a prequel to the actual  Land’s End to John o’ Groats, he decided to ride from Penzance to Lizard Point, the furthest South in the UK, and then to Redruth to start the actual LEJoG itinerary.

Alex set off from Redruth on Saturday the 8th of September 2018, to cycle South West (!) to Lands End to the starting point of the challenge. The route works its way East and North through Cornwall and Exeter, North through Wales and the North of England, before crossing the border and continuing North through Scotland. The route is planned by CTC cycling holidays who will be supporting Alex on the cycle.
